Ingredients
- 1 filet Salmon or Black Cod
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- Place everything in a ziploc and shake a bit to mix the marinade.
- Allow the fish to marinate for at least 10m, up to 20m.
- Bake at 350F for 15m. I like to use my toaster oven's Bake setting for this.
Notes
- Grilling the fish is a great alternative for a smoky flavor and juicy interior. It's just a bit more hassle so for my 2 person household I rarely opt to do that.
- Cooking time is absolutely based on the size of your filet and your preferred doneness. Use your judgement, and, if you want, a meat thermometer. 125F is generally regarded a safe internal temperature for a fish like Salmon.
- If using frozen fish, as I almost always do, either defrost the fish first or allow extra marination time.
- Can I use Ponzu sauce instead to make this QUICKER? Yes, but in my opinion it doesn't taste as good as using fresh lemon juice (I've tried).
